Today...
my wife and I celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. So much is slipping away in our time that such a milestone is not to be taken for granted.
Even how marriage is to be defined has been stolen from God. It is true that the state has rights and responsibilities where marriage is concerned. The civil authorities do have the right to administer marriage, the foundation of family and government.
These authorities do not however have the right to change the definition of marriage. The purpose of the estate of marriage is not primarily to provide for happiness, prosperity or fulfillment. It is to be the foundation of community - again, family and government.
Thank you my dearest, I have enjoyed these years together, and hope to continue the celebration for years to come!
